The VictorianTruffle Festival (VTF) is a culinary truffle experience to incorporate field events and forays, truffle cooking demonstrations, and some of the world’s and Australia’s experts on how to produce truffles. They include Dr Ian Hall from New Zealand was behind the first truffle produced in Australia and NZ in 1993 at his brother’s farm near Gisborne, and is in great demand in both northern and southern hemispheres.
Combining the best of the French Truffle Market, the Mundaring (WA) and the NSW Festivals, we intend to make this a very interesting and enjoyable experience.
Showcasing Daylesford to Macedon Ranges Produce
Located in the centre of the Daylesford/Macedon Ranges area, the Victorian Truffles Festival provides an ideal format to showcase the regions produce – wine, olives, breweries, potatoes, eggs, beef, etc. that all go well with truffles.
Trentham is ideal for truffle growing, and home of the Australian Truffle Dog company.
We expect at least 2000 people to attend the main weekend events and most of these being foodies and gourmand’s from Melbourne. We have been doing truffle tastings in Trentham for the past 2 weeks and we have people traveling from Melbourne specially.
Don’t miss the 2010 Victorian Truflles Festival!
