While we’re busy hustling truffles in our region, we’re just as pleased to see what’s happening around other parts of Australia.
Victoria
Chris Macquet, a truffle grower whose family came from near the black truffle (Perigord) area of Perigeaux in France, is keen to develop the truffle industry in and around the Trentham area. West Australia
The Mundaring Truffle Festival started it all off and although it’s not in a truffle growing region, they’ve seized the unique opportunity and created an arts, craft and food event that gets thousands of visitors. Held on the weekend of 31 July – 1 August. See their website for details
